If you live along the Ridgeview corridor between 175th street to 191st, ride your bike here or simply pass through on your way to Spring Hill from Olathe, you know this is a special stretch in the unincorporated part of Johnson County, KS.
Our community stands ready to fight against ill-conceived development proposals by the Spring Hill City council and their developer benefactors. It is our hope that future city leadership will respect the rule of law, the Spring Hill comprehensive plan, and collaborate with surrounding residents who are a part of the broader Spring Hill community even though they do not live inside the city limits.
We are aligned in this fight with our rural JOCO friends to the west and south who are fighting a similar gerrymandering type annexation by Edgerton to bring unwanted industrial development into their backyards.
This campaign is for common sense development with compatible zoning to protect our property rights and rural quality of life.
